What it is
Most pricing tools tell you what a car is worth. There are several, they are good, and they cost between one and five thousand dollars a month. LotClock answers a narrower question that nobody seems to sell for this market: how long does a vehicle like this actually take to move here, and where does your asking price sit among the ones it is competing with.
It reads what dealerships already publish, every day, and keeps a record. That record is the product — not any single day's snapshot, but the history of how prices moved and how long things took to go.
Where the numbers come from
- Publicly published inventory pages on dealership websites in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Livingston, Monroe, St. Clair and Lenawee counties.
- Facts only — VIN, price, mileage, specification, and the dates a listing appeared and disappeared. Never photographs, never a dealer's written descriptions, never anyone's personal details.
- Every comparable vehicle shown names the dealership it came from and links to that dealership's own listing.

Status
Early. The archive is being collected now, and the numbers get more useful with every week of history behind them — days-on-lot in particular cannot be known until something has been watched for a while.
